Poetry is the best way to express emotion. A poem written to your best friend is perfect during a special birthday or other event. Most times we take situations for granted and friendships too. Also our careers do not allow much socializing and hence we skip a birthday or calling up a sick friend.
Though our feelings are sincere, expression does not come easily with a phone call. Physical distance also makes it difficult for us to convey our thoughts. Hence one could pen a few words or use a famous poem to express friendship.
A Time to Talk : Robert Frost
When a friend calls to me from the road
And slows his horse to a meaning walk,
I don’t stand still and look around
On all the hills I haven’t hoed,
And shout from where I am, ‘What is it?’
No, not as there is a time talk.
I thrust my hoe in the mellow ground,
